President Joe Biden regretted the attack of the driver of a pickup truck that ran over a crowd participating in a Christmas festival in Waukesha, Wisconsin, leaving at least five dead and 40 injured, including several children.

“While we don’t have all the facts and details yet, we know this morning that Five families in Waukesha face the pain of a life without a loved one“, Said the president. “At least 40 Americans are injured, some of them in critical condition, as a community is struggling to cope with the horrific act of violence.”

Dozens of children are seen in the parade and as spectators. At least 12 are among the victims.

Police detained Darrell Brooks Jr, 39, a Milwaukee resident, shortly after the attack. The investigations continue their course.
