Villanovense redirects its course in Antequera

Villanovense met again with victory three days later to continue in the promotion promotion positions. The Serón team began the clash at the mercy of an Antequera in need of victories. In the Nuevo el Maulí, Nacho Pérez’s pupils came out more connected looking for the right lane to generate problems for Tapia. Iván Aguilar picked up a deep ball from Juanjo and, against Iván Moreno, sent the ball to the side of the net at the first attempt. The visiting team was not daunted. Sillero, in a personal play, sent the ball high. Little by little, Villanovense took the tone of the match and was superior to his rival.

Coming out of a corner, Tapia found Moi’s head in the heart of the area. The center-back’s header hit Juanjo’s hand and the referee awarded a penalty. Tapia, in charge of the execution, tricked Iván Moreno, who beat the left, and scored through the center. With the result in favor, the visiting team withdrew ranks and waited to do damage to the counterattack.

Sillero sent a service from Fran Viñuela down the right side. The reply came at the boots of an omnipresent Mensah, who shot from the top of the area into the hands of De la Calzada. Late in the first half, Seth missed with an acrobatic shot that went slightly wide.

More direct football

In the second half the clash was animated. In the 50th minute, Fran Viñuela found Sillero in the area who, at the turn, forced Iván Moreno to intervene in two stages. Josip Visnjic opted for more direct football and looked for Seth’s speed behind defenders.

The Canarian striker got rid of his marker but again made a mistake in the definition. Thus, the Serón team took a step back and gave the handle of the match to their opponent, who felt much more comfortable. However, Sillero was able to sentence. The Sevillian striker invented a shot from the balcony of the area and forced Ivan Moreno to fly, who pulled out a prodigious hand. However, the Antequera team was able to equalize. Nacho Pais from 30 meters missed with a shot that licked the stump of the post. The answer came with a great ride by Lolo Garrido, who did not get the definition right.

In the final moments of the match, anyone could score. Javi López got rid of several rivals and after approaching the vicinity of the area guarded by De la Calzada he finished off against David Humanes’s back when the leather slipped into the goal.

Just a minute later, Cortijo found Rivera on the attack. With spaces, the Galician striker served the career of Lolo Garrido who was not the one to solve before the Antequera goalkeeper. Villanovense barely conceded chances in extra time in which their rival tried to do damage with aerial balls over the area. With the victory, the Serón team establishes itself in the promotion promotion positions.

Vushbuc: «Today I think we have not suffered so much»

“In the first half, the match was one on one and the second part was more Antequera, but with hardly any scoring chances”, analyzed Josip Visnjic. The Serbian coach was satisfied with the work of his players against a rival that needed the three points to get out of the lower positions. «Last week they punished us too much and today I think we haven’t suffered as much regardless of the fact that Antequera has controlled the ball».
