Vivo X Note: seven inches and 2K resolution, because mobiles weren’t already huge enough

Vivo has just introduced its Vivo X Fold, the company’s first foldable. Along with it, they have launched the Vivo X Note, its high-end with 7-inch panel. It is the first high-end that reaches Quad HD + resolution (badly called 2K by manufacturers) in such a high diagonal.

In addition to shining through the panel, it stands out your custom Qualcomm processor, camera configuration and general hardware. These are its technical characteristics and specifications.

For Vivo it was not enough with the 6.7 and 6.8 inches that we have been seeing in recent years. The Vivo X Note has a 7-inch panel, with E5-type AMOLED technology. The refresh rate is 120Hz, adaptive thanks to the LTPO. Peak brightness is 1,500 nitsabove what was seen in some of its direct rivals.

The processor is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, although Vivo has customized the SPU. This is the security chip that the phone has, something similar to what Google has been doing with its Titan chip for generations. Memory configurations start at 8 + 256 GB, reaching a maximum of 12 + 512 GB in the most ambitious version.

In defense of mobile giants

The battery is 5,000mAh with 80W fast charge, promising to fully charge in just half an hour. As extras, it has a double stereo speaker, a dedicated chip for HiFi sound, infrared and steam chamber for cooling.

ambitious in photography

On a photographic level, Vivo bets on a personalized ISP. That is, the image processor is not the standard of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but has been customized by Vivo to improve (according to its photographic philosophy) the processing. The camera configuration is the same as that found in its folding brother.

  • 50 megapixel main sensor.
  • 8 megapixel periscopic sensor, OIS, 5x zoom.
  • 12 megapixel telephoto sensor, two magnifications.
  • 48 megapixel ultra wide angle sensor.
