Tg Image 754333941

Vivo’s new devices are very similar to each other. at the design level both repeat with a gigantic camera module, bright colors and a front featured by a curved panel. Here the main difference is the resolution, Quad HD+ in the Pro variant, Full HD+ in the standard model. Both models have AMOLED technology and refresh rate up to 120 Hz.

If we talk about hardware, the power is practically identical. Both models mount what, according to synthetic tests, is one of the best processors of the moment (even surpassing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 gen 1): the MediaTek Dimensity 9000. The Pro variant has two versions, one with Qualcomm and one with MediaTekwhich seems a clear indication that this phone will end up landing in several markets.

Differences also in cameras, although both share ISP signed by Vivo and lenses signed by Zeiss. The main sensor is not the same, despite both having 50 megapixels. Samsung’s new 50-megapixel ISOCELL 3.0 VNG is reserved for the Pro, and the standard model bets on the IMX866. The X80 Pro opts for a higher resolution ultra wide angle and an 8 megapixel periscopic camera with 5x optical zoom. The second telephoto lens is intended for portrait mode, equivalent to 50mm.
