Week 16 Fantasy QB Rankings

If you’ve made it to the second round of the fantasy football playoffs, you probably already have a must-have quarterback, but we’ve seen a lot of players finish on the reserve / COVID list in recent weeks, so have a look. Overall position will help you prepare for the worst. Our week 16 fantasy quarterback rankings are here to help you do just that and assist you in your decision on who to start at the highest fantasy scoring position.

Even after the bye weeks, it’s worth mentioning that Josh Allen (vs. Patriots), Tom Brady (@ Panthers), and Lamar Jackson (@ Bengals) take a hit in our rankings this week, but as always, you’re likely to go. to start them anyway if they are active. Jackson is obviously the most concerning between his recent fall and his ankle injury, but we all know his high ceiling. The same goes for Brady, who probably killed most of his owners with his complete failure last week. He’s much more on the edge if Chris Godwin (knee) and Mike Evans (hamstring) are out.

WEEK 16 PPR RANKINGS:

Again, he’s probably fine in QB if he’s made it this far, but if he’s in a rush, Tua Tagovailoa (@ Saints), Jimmy Garoppolo (@ Titans), Matt Ryan (vs. Lions), Ben Roethlisberger (@ Chiefs ) and Justin Fields (@ Seahawks) are available in more than 50 percent of Yahoo’s leagues and have advantages for different reasons.

Tua and Big Ben can do it with volume in favorable matchups. Ryan and Garoppolo can take advantage of some of the worst secondaries in the league; and Fields is beginning to develop a strong, dynamic floor and playing potential. You’ll see how we’ve ranked them below, but any can be a week-long fill. Even if you don’t plan on playing one of these quarterbacks this week, you may want to take one out as insurance sooner rather than later. If you’re desperate, you can even give Jared Goff (@ Falcons) a shot.

On the other side of the start-or-sit bubble, Carson Wentz (@ Cardinals), Derek Carr (against the Broncos) and Ryan Tannehill (against the 49ers) are once again best suited for the bench. They’ve all had their bright spots, and all three can be considered better “real life” quarterbacks than some of the guys we listed above, but their fantasy floors have proven too low, especially in tough matchups. We highlight why we like all the streamers on the list, and these guys don’t have the same perspective.

We are fully aware that there are fewer owners who need to check QB rankings, so exemptions / free agency should have less competition, but always make sure to cover yourself. And seriously, don’t freak out over Allen or Brady matchups. The last thing you want to do is bench one and lose just before the championship round. As a weekly reminder, don’t overthink it … unless you have to.

Note: We’ll update these quarterback rankings throughout the week, so check back for the latest player movement and analysis.
