The most frequent names of residents in the provinces of Extremadura in 2021 were Manuel in Badajoz and Antonio in Cáceres, and among women the most frequent name was María in both provinces

The most frequent of residents in the provinces of Extremadura in 2021 were Manuel in Badajoz (16,233) and Antonio in Cáceres (5,256), and among women the most frequent name was María in both provinces (12,295 in Badajoz and 5,519 in Cáceres). , according to data from the Statistics Institute of Extremadura (IEEX).

The second most frequent female name in the two provinces is María del Carmen (9,542 in Badajoz and 5,185 in Cáceres). The next on the list in the province of Badajoz are Carmen (7,144), Antonia (7,129) and Isabel (6,592), while in the province of Cáceres they are Isabel (2,953); María del Pilar (2,763) and María de los Ángeles (2,528).

In men, in addition to those mentioned, the following most frequent names are Antonio (14,798), Francisco (11,137), José (10,068) and Juan (6,926) in the province of Badajoz; and in the province of Cáceres Manuel (4,202), Francisco (4,117), José (3,809) and David (3,446).
