What channel are the Bears vs. Steelers today? Schedule, time for ‘Monday Night Football’ in week 9

Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears face Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers on “Monday Night Football,” in a classic “rookie versus veteran” fight. The Bears are 3-5 so far this season, while the Steelers are 4-3. Both teams are third in their respective division, although NFC North certainly lacks the depth that AFC North has.

The Steelers are bringing a three-game winning streak to this game, while the Bears have lost three games in a row. They are coming off a tough part of their schedule, with games against the Green Bay Packers, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the San Francisco 49ers. Meanwhile, the Steelers have been winning ugly, but winning nonetheless. Most recently, they scored a 15-10 victory over division rival the Cleveland Browns.

The Steelers defense poses some problems for the Bears on paper. TJ Watt has terrified quarterbacks, and it’s hard to rule out Fields’ disastrous first start against the Browns. If Watt and the Steelers can keep him under pressure, it could be a long Monday night for Chicago. The Steelers secondary, however, is susceptible to missed tackles, which could benefit the Bears if they can plan the game.

Until then, Matt Nagy will return to the Bears’ sideline on Monday after passing COVID-19 protocols. He claims the position of special teams coach Matt Tabor, though Bill Lazer will likely continue to call plays for Fields and the Bears’ offense.

Cracks are appearing in the armor of some of the best in the AFC North, with the Bengals hitting the Ravens two weeks ago and subsequently losing to the Jets. The Ravens lead the division at 5-2, so a win could help the Steelers, at worst, keep pace with Baltimore and Cincinnati in the North.

Here’s what you need to know to watch Bears and Steelers this Sunday, including start time, TV channels, and the full NFL Week 9 schedule.
