What channel is Giants vs. Washington today? Schedule, time for NFL ‘Thursday Night Football’ in week 2

The television channel for tonight’s game of week 2 between the Giants and the Washington football team is different from that of week 1. Cowboys vs. Buccaneers aired on NBC, but “Thursday Night Football” will air exclusively on the NFL Network in week 2.

Both the Giants and Washington are coming off losses in Week 1. The Giants were defeated 27-13 by the Broncos, while Washington lost 20-16 against the Chargers. Washington also saw its starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick leave the game early with a hip injury.

Fitzpatrick will be out of Washington in Week 2 and beyond. He will be replaced by Taylor Heinicke and will hope to outlast Daniel Jones, who committed the 40th turnover of his career in just his 28th game (27 as a starter) on Sunday against the Broncos.

Fitzpatrick’s injury won’t be the only one to watch before this contest. Saquon Barkley is back from an ACL injury against Denver, but in a short week, how long will the Giants let him play? Tight end Evan Engram, who is dealing with a calf injury that kept him out of Week 1, will likely be questionable for this competition as well; did not practice anything last week.

Below is everything you need to know about tonight’s broadcast of the Week 2 game with the Giants and Washington, plus the full schedule for Week 2 of the 2021 NFL season.
