What channel is the NBA Draft on today? Time, TV schedule to watch rounds 1-2

The NBA season just crossed the finish line last week, but headquarters don’t have time to rest. The 2021 NBA Draft is here.

There seems to be a consensus opinion on which prospects for 2021 belong to the top tier. Cade Cunningham, Jalen Green and Evan Mobley have separated from the rest of the group and will likely be the top three in some order.

However, the possibility of exchanges becomes very important as the draft approaches. Multiple teams may be looking to send in picks to acquire players to win at now, leading to chaos on draft night.

What channel is the NBA Draft on today?

You can watch the 2021 NBA Draft on ABC (first round only) and ESPN (first and second rounds) or stream through the Watch ESPN app.

This year’s draft will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Last year’s event was held virtually from ESPN’s studios in Bristol, Connecticut.

NBA Draft Start Time

  • Date: Thursday, July 29
  • Start time8 pm ET

Coverage of the 2021 NBA Draft begins at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and ESPN. A pre-draft countdown program will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.

NBA Draft Order 2021

In the first round, each team has five minutes to make a selection. That time limit is reduced to two minutes for the second round.

2021 NBA simulated draft

SN’s latest mock draft, curated by Mike DeCourcy, breaks down the entire first round of the 2021 NBA Draft. DeCourcy predicts the Pistons will take on Oklahoma State star Cade Cunningham with the first overall pick.
