The Cup Series will take place at Richmond Raceway this weekend for Federated Auto Parts ‘400 Salute to First Responders, the second race in the series’ 2021 playoffs. The 400-lap, 300-mile event is scheduled to begin in the evening on Saturday.

NASCAR has hosted the majority of the 2021 Cup regular season races during the day; Saturday’s race is the third in a series of five consecutive evening events (Eastern Time).

The green flag for Saturday’s NASCAR Cup Series playoff race at Richmond Raceway’s 0.75-mile D-shaped oval is scheduled to fall at 7:45 pm ET.

The weather is not expected to be a concern. the National Weather Service forecast for Richmond, Virginia.It requires clear skies, light winds and the temperature drop to 60 degrees on Saturday night, after a sunny afternoon with a high temperature in the 80s.

Rick Allen will handle play-by-play tasks, while Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Burton and Steve Letarte will provide analysis. Earnhardt’s turn at the booth will cap off a marathon Saturday for him. He is scheduled to drive in the Xfinity Series race at Richmond on Saturday afternoon. Earnhardt drives in one NASCAR race per year. He will be racing in the No. 8 JR Motorsports car.

Marty Snider, Parker Kligerman and Dillon Welch will be the pit reporters.
