The Cup Series returns to mid-afternoon racing this weekend after celebrating the All-Star Race last week at night. The Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway is expected to start shortly after 3:30 p.m. ET.

NASCAR is conducting most of its 2021 races during the day, and the Nashville race begins a streak of daytime races that will run through the end of August.

The National Weather Service weekend forecast for Lebanon, Tennessee., where the Nashville Superspeedway is located, requires potential showers and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon and evening, with a high temperature approaching 90 degrees. There is a 40 percent chance of rain on Sunday afternoon, according to the weather service.
