“Danger!” he’s doing his best to live up to the great legacy of the late host Alex Trebek. The producers of the iconic American general knowledge game show Answers and Questions have lined up an eclectic group of notable guest hosts to take turns at the lectern for the next several months, with several more to come.
Ken Jennings, who won the “The Greatest of All Time” tournament last year to seal his status as the best “Jeopardy!” The player was the first to help replace Trebek during the show’s newly completed series of episodes. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, once the 2015 celebrity edition winning contestant, will also get a chance to be on the other side and read clues.
Here’s what we know about Rodgers’ schedule as “Jeopardy!” Guest host along with other celebrities who will help fill Trebek’s shoes.
IYER: My memories of Alex Trebek, gracious host and voice of inspiration.
When does Aaron Rodgers host ‘Jeopardy!’?
- Dates: April 5 to April 16, 2021
Rodgers, well away from leading the Packers to the NFC championship game, now has time to film his episodes, which will air in the spring. The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports Rodgers’ season as a guest host on Jeopardy! It will run for 10 episodes, from Monday, April 5 to Friday, April 16. After Jennings’ opening-of-the-year run ended on the February 19 episode, “Jeopardy!” Executive producer Mike Richards, who has experience hosting reality shows and game shows like “Beauty and the Geek” and “Pyramid,” is filling in until next celebrity season.
In Rodgers’ previous appearance six years ago, he won $ 50,000, which was donated to a cause close to his heart, Midwestern athletes against childhood cancer. By agreeing to host “Jeopardy!” – a show he’s been a lifelong fan of – the accumulated money contestants earn while he’s in charge will be turned into an even bigger charitable donation. That is the same treatment for the other invited hosts.
