Where is ‘College GameDay’ this week? Location, hours, guest picker for Week 3 on ESPN

“College GameDay” will preview its third consecutive game among the top 25 teams on Saturday when the team heads to University Park, Pennsylvania, to showcase No. 10 Penn State’s “White Out” game against No. 22 Auburn.

Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard, David Pollack and Co. will be located off Old Main on the Penn State campus. This will be the teams’ first meeting since 2003, and their first in the regular season. More importantly, both teams will be looking to not only remain undefeated on the season, both are 2-0, but also to achieve a non-conference victory in their respective college football playoff offerings.

Penn State has the best win of any team, heading to Camp Randall Stadium and defeating then-No. 12 Wisconsin to open the season. The Nittany Lions won that game 16-10, but turned around and beat Ball State on a 44-13 snoozer. Meanwhile, Auburn has the nation’s highest-scoring offense in two games, scoring 60 and 62 points, respectively, against Akron and Alabama State.

Saturday is likely to mark the toughest game of the season for both teams to date. Auburn’s offense has gone through its running backs, with Tank Bigsby (241 rushing yards) and Jarquez Hunter (257) both scoring two touchdowns on the ground. Bo Nix has been good too, completing 29 of 39 passes for 383 yards and five touchdowns. But what will that fair offense look like against a Penn State defense that has allowed two touchdowns and allowed an average of 11.5 points per game?

By contrast, Sean Clifford (39 of 62 passes, 477 yards, two touchdowns) will face the best statistical scoring defense in the nation (five points per game). He’ll need more help from running back Noah Cain (117 yards, two touchdowns) and will need to aim for more than just Jahan Dotson (10 receptions, 167 yards, two touchdowns) if he is to lead Penn State to a home win.
