NFL 2021 preseason update
With the 2021 NFL Draft, organized team activities and mini-camps now complete, teams are preparing for the start of training camp. Unlike previous seasons, when camps opened on various dates, 29 of 32 teams will return to work on July 27, 2021. Pittsburgh and Dallas play in the Hall of Fame, so their camps begin on July 21. Defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay can appear at camp starting July 24.
While the NFL is in a brief summer slumber, there are plenty of preseason betting options at top-tier American sportsbooks like DraftKings. From division champions and team win totals to season specials and Super Bowl LVI odds, the DraftKings NFL futures betting board is packed with options. As part of the package, the “Team to win the most games in the regular season” prop betting option is on our radar today.
We keep track of our preseason picks and post regular season coverage betting tips when warranted. SI premium subscribers receive gambling games, updates and articles as soon as they are published.

Super Bowl Winners: Regular Season Records
This is an attractive betting option from several angles. Does anyone see a clear lockdown from Super Bowl LVI right now? No team has left the page for me yet. DraftKings have Kansas City (+500) and Tampa Bay (+650) as their two favorites. After that, there is a gap between Buffalo (+1100) and Los Angeles Rams (+1300). Baltimore and San Francisco are tied for fifth favorites with a moneyline price of +1400.
When researching this prop option, bettors shouldn’t be overly concerned about which team will win the NFL championship. Since the 2004 season, 26 teams finished with the best record of the regular season, including draws. Philadelphia (2017) and New England (2016 and 2014), plus Seattle in 2013, they were the only teams to win the Super Bowl. A bet here can also set up a hedge bet at the end of the season.
Most Wins in 2021-22 NFL Regular Season – Favorites
The usual suspects, plus a 6-10 team from last season, occupy the favorite spots in the “Most Games Won” fixture on DraftKings. As they are on the Super Bowl futures board, the Chiefs, Buccaneers and Bills are the three favorites. San Francisco, which finished the 2020 NFL with a 2-7 slip, is a somewhat surprising fifth seed. I bet Kansas City earns OVER 12.5 (+100) and while it’s chalk, I like them from this group too.
Choose: Kansas City Chiefs – Most Games Won (+400)
Choice of sleeper: Green Bay (+2000) If Aaron Rodgers stays with the Packers
Most Wins in 2021-22 NFL Regular Season – Mid-Tier Teams
The water gets a little murkier when looking at the middle 10 squads of chalk. Not from wondering if any of the teams will post the most wins, but more because some teams might rack up the most wins. I have Minnesota winning the NFC North, plus Dallas winning the NFC East. Both teams could have long winning streaks this season. I also bet the Los Angeles Chargers exceed their 9.5 (+110) overall odds of winning.
Choose: Minnesota Vikings – Most Games Won (+5000)
Most Wins in 2021-22 NFL Regular Season – Dark Horse
This is where the water turns to mud, as it’s hard to see any of the 12 underdog winners during the 2021-22 NFL season. That said, if the defense wins championships, the Washington soccer team could claim back-to-back titles. The NFC East will be quite competitive, so one concern is that the WFT will win the division with a 9–8 record. A season 8 to 9 is a stretch for the other 11 pups listed below.
Choose: Washington Football Team – Most Games Won (+6000)
