‘Wings,’ ‘Lois & Clark’ actor dies at 54: reports


Farrah Forke, best known for her role as helicopter pilot Alex Lambert on the ’90s sitcom “Wings,” you have died, according to Variety, The Hollywood Reporter and dead line. She was 54.

Forke died of cancer at her Texas home on Feb. 25, a family friend told Variety and Deadline.

“Farrah was fierce, tender, loyal, loving, strong, funny, smart, protective, kind, passionate and utterly irreplaceable,” the friend said in a statement. “She brought a light so great to the world that even after her passing from her, the light remains.”

Forke’s “Wings” co-star Steve Weber also confirmed the late actor’s death on Instagram.

“Farrah Forke has passed,” Weber captioned a photo of Forke. “She was every bit as tough, fun, beautiful and grounded as her character from Ella ‘Alex’ on ‘Wings.’ “

Forke’s acting career began with a role in a Texas production of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.” Later, she moved to New York and studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute. Forke landed her first major role in the 1991 sci-fi horror flick “Brain Twisters.”
