A travel blogger was the one who spotted the van in which Brian Laundrie and Gabby Petito were traveling through the area where the young woman’s body was discovered last Sunday.

Jenn Bethune took images of the white vehicle near Teton National Park in Wyoming last month.

Bethune noticed on Saturday night the presence of the van in the material she had recorded and alerted the authorities, who recovered the remains of the young woman in the area the next day.

Pictures show the van parked in a space in the undergrowth, half hidden.

Bethune told “Fox & Friends” on Monday that a person tagged her in a social media post calling for users who were in the national park on August 27 to verify videos and photos they have taken, in order to help in the search for Petito.

“I had chills all over my body and I ran straight to my computer, grabbed the footage from my GoPro, and suddenly, Gabby’s van was there,” the woman said.

Bethune and her husband, Kyle, recall seeing the van while driving through the park that day, but thought nothing of it at the time.

“The reason we noticed the van is because we are from Florida, and the van had a Florida license plate, and we wanted to stop and say hello,” recalled the interviewee.

“But the van was very dark, closed, it didn’t seem like there was activity, so we kept driving,” he described.

“Each of these scattered camping spaces is kind of hidden behind trees,” Bethune added. “I was very busy. It was quite full that day we were there ”, he pointed out.

Laundrie, 23, returned on September 1 in the vehicle to North Port, Florida, where he lived, but without Petito.

The couple embarked on an overland trip to various states in the United States in early July.

Petito, 22, lost track on August 30, when her mother received the last messages from the young woman’s cell phone.

Laundrie has not wanted to collaborate with the authorities to clarify the case for the disappearance and murder of his girlfriend.

He is currently a fugitive after he allegedly left his home Tuesday last week to Carlston Reserve and did not return.

Laundrie is under an arrest warrant from a federal court in Wyoming for unauthorized device use.

Both the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the police in North Port are on the boy’s trail.
